Sponsored Products Ads Now Appear in Creator Content – August 10, 2026

Starting August 10, 2026, Amazon Sponsored Products ads can appear inside creator content through the Amazon Influencer Program. Existing campaigns are enrolled by default at their current bids and budgets, so most advertisers are already serving there without taking any action.

According to PPC Land's report on Amazon's advertiser notice, Amazon Ads updated its Sponsored Products off-Amazon advertising support page on August 4 and set August 10 as the start date for creator placements.

What exactly is changing?

  • New placement type: Sponsored Products can show in creator reviews, editorial content and buying guides. Clicks send shoppers to your Amazon product detail page.

  • Default enrollment: Campaigns opt in automatically at current bids and budgets.

  • Same billing: You pay per click, your max bid caps cost on and off Amazon, and all clicks count toward your campaign budget. Top of Search and Product Pages bid adjustments do not apply off Amazon, but dynamic bidding does.

  • Controls: You can exclude specific creators, and each campaign has an off-Amazon setting of "Increase reach" (default) or "Limit off-Amazon spend."

  • Reporting: Results appear in the Sponsored Products Placement Report and through the Ads API placement classification metric.

Why does this matter for sellers?

Your budget can now flow to placements you did not choose. Creator content can bring high-intent shoppers, since people reading a review are often close to buying. It can also pull spend away from on-Amazon placements that convert better. Where there is no search context, Amazon infers search terms, so watch your search term reports for irrelevant traffic.

What should sellers do now?

  • Check placement reports weekly: Compare ACoS and conversion rate for off-Amazon clicks against Top of Search and Product Pages.

  • Limit off-Amazon spend where needed: Switch tight-margin or low-converting campaigns to "Limit off-Amazon spend."

  • Exclude poor-fit creators: Remove creators whose audience does not match your product.

  • Add negatives: Use inferred search terms that waste spend as negative keywords.

eStore Factory Tip: Do not switch creator placements off blindly. Give them two to three weeks of data, then keep them on only where they hit your target ACoS. If you want an expert review of your placement mix, our Amazon PPC specialists can audit it for you.
