Amazon has confirmed that holiday peak fulfillment fees will once again apply this year for FBA, Remote Fulfillment with FBA, Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF), and Buy with Prime.
Effective dates: October 15, 2025 – January 14, 2026
These fees are designed to help Amazon manage the higher volume of orders and transportation during the busiest shopping season, such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday. During this time, fulfillment costs go up to help Amazon handle the surge in orders and shipping demands.
What are holiday peak fulfillment fees?
Holiday peak fulfillment fees are additional charges applied on top of regular FBA or fulfillment fees during the busiest shopping season. They cover the extra costs that Amazon incurs due to higher order volumes, seasonal labor, and logistics challenges.
These fees apply across multiple channels:
Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) – US, Canada
Remote Fulfillment with FBA – North America
Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF)
Buy with Prime
The free structure is consistent with last year, charged by size band for each product.
What this means for your margins and sales:
Available for preview: Use the Revenue Calculator or the Fee & Economics Preview Report to see your updated costs and plan accurately.
Predictable cost structure: Fees are applied by size-band, so you can calculate them per product just like regular FBA fees.
Run profitability analyses: Check your current pricing and costs with holiday peak fees included. Identify which products may need price adjustments to maintain margins.
Impact on profits: These fees can affect your margins if not accounted for. Especially during Q4, where high sales volumes can make even small fee differences significant.
Update Q4 strategy: Consider how these fees affect your promotions, Lightning Deals, or seasonal campaigns. Factor in fees when setting discounts and offers.
Why does this matter for Q4 sales?
Q4 is the most critical period for you as an Amazon seller, with holiday sales often representing a large portion of annual revenue. Understanding and planning for holiday peak fulfillment fees is not just about avoiding surprises; it’s about maximizing profitability and ensuring your products reach customers efficiently.
By factoring in these fees early, you can:
