Take Control of Your Product Images With Amazon’s New Image Manager Update - September 22, 2025

Amazon has enhanced Image Manager to help sellers see exactly which images are being displayed on their product detail pages and where they came from. This is especially useful for sellers sharing ASINs across multiple accounts or working alongside other sellers.

What is the update?

  • Live and not live labels: Images are now clearly marked as Live (displayed on the product page) or Not Live.

  • Origin information: Hover over the info icon on non-live images to see whether the image comes from: A merchant under your partner account (with account number and merchant token),  a vendor under your partner account, or another selling partner.

  • Enhanced transparency: Helps sellers identify who uploaded each image and manage images across multiple accounts more efficiently.

  • Compliance and customer experience: Amazon selects images that meet product image requirements and deliver the best shopping experience, and this update ensures sellers can monitor and maintain high-quality visuals.

Why this matters for sellers

  • Maintain brand control: Know which images represent your products and ensure they meet your brand standards.

  • Streamline multi-account management: Easily track images across multiple accounts, coordinate with partners, and resolve conflicts quickly.

  • Improve your conversions: High-quality, compliant images improve customer trust and confidence, leading to higher sales.

  • Save time: Quickly identify and fix non-live images without guessing or manually checking each listing.

Action steps for sellers

  • Open image manager: Navigate to “Image Manager” in Seller Central to view all images for your ASINs.

  • Take action: Upload new images or adjust existing ones to ensure your best content is displayed.

  • Monitor regularly: Keep track of multiple ASINs and accounts to maintain brand control and consistency.

Amazon’s updated Image Manager gives sellers clarity, control, and efficiency in managing product images, helping you maintain brand consistency, improve customer trust, and optimize product presentation across multiple accounts.
