Returnless Refunds by Price Now Live for US FBA Sellers – November 27, 2025

Amazon has launched a new feature that can significantly cut your return costs and simplify your operations, which is Returnless Resolutions by Price. This update finally gives sellers control over which items should be refunded without requiring the customer to send the product back.

What’s the new feature?

You can now choose a price threshold between $1 and $75, where customers will receive a refund without needing to send the item back. This may look like a small setting, but for many brands, especially those dealing with high-volume, low-cost items, it can have a major impact on profitability and workflow.

If a buyer requests a return for an item priced below your set threshold, Amazon simply refunds the customer and lets them keep the product. Amazon skips all the usual return steps because the item isn’t sent back, checked, or moved through the warehouse at all.

The entire return workflow is skipped because the item is not valuable enough to justify the operational cost of sending it back.

To enroll in FBA Returnless Resolutions:
  • Go to Seller Central → FBA Returns Evaluation & Ownership Settings

  • Click Enable Returnless Resolutions by Price

  • Choose your Maximum Item Price (between $1–$75)

  • Click Update

Why does this update matter for sellers?
  • Cost savings on low-value returns: Return shipping, inspection, and processing often cost more than the product itself. This setting helps sellers stop losing money on items where a return simply isn’t economical.

  • Lower operational pressure: Not having items returned keeps your operations much cleaner. You avoid extra inbound FBA congestion, reduce removal orders, and prevent unsellable units from piling up in your inventory. It also cuts down on unnecessary customer service issues.

  • More control over your return strategy: You control the maximum price for returnless refunds, not Amazon. You can set this limit considering your product margins, the size and weight of the item, and past return costs. This lets you choose a threshold that protects your bottom line while keeping returns easy to manage.

  • Reduced abuse risk: Amazon will not offer returnless refunds to customers with suspicious refund behavior. This keeps fraud low while still providing convenience.

  • Happy customers and fewer negative reviews: Customers get instant refunds without needing to print labels, repackage items, or visit a drop-off location. This smoother experience often increases satisfaction and reduces A-to-Z claims.

Which items are NOT eligible?

Some categories cannot use returnless resolutions:

  • Hazardous materials (hazmat)

  • Recalled products

  • Gift cards

  • Heavy or bulky items

  • Items with an average sales price above $75

When sellers should use this feature

This feature is especially useful if you sell:

  • Small, low-cost items

  • Lightweight accessories

  • Consumables

  • Low-priced home goods

  • Beauty and personal care items

  • Pet supplies

  • Stationery or office supplies

  • Products that don’t resell well as “used”

If your product costs more to return than to manufacture, this feature is a must-enable.

Amazon’s Returnless Resolutions by Price gives FBA sellers a simple way to cut return costs, reduce operational burden, and keep customers happy, especially during high-volume seasons. Sellers who activate this for their low-value items will see the biggest savings.
